5×1000 · Guide 2026
How to allocate your 5×1000 to Innovation Bridge
It costs you nothing extra. It is your share of tax that the State redistributes: if you don't indicate anyone, that money goes back to the State. In a few seconds you can choose where it goes.
What is the 5×1000
A share of your taxes that you choose where to direct
The 5×1000 is a portion of IRPEF (income tax) that the State allocates each year to Third Sector organisations, scientific research, and other beneficiaries. It is not added to what you pay: it is already included in your taxes.
If you make no choice, that share goes to the State. With a signature on your tax return — and our tax code — you can direct it to Fondazione Innovation Bridge.
- It is not an additional donation
- It does not reduce your IRPEF refund
- It requires no extra payments
- All it takes is a signature and a tax code
- You can do it every year
How to do it
Three steps, five minutes
-
Open the section "Choice for the allocation of the 5×1000"
You will find it in your tax form — whether it is the 730, the Modello Redditi PF, or the Certificazione Unica (CU), the box is always labelled the same way.

Select the box "Third Sector Organisations"
Find the section dedicated to the support of volunteering, non-profit social utility organisations, social promotion associations, and Third Sector organisations. Place your signature in the corresponding box.

Enter the Foundation's tax code
In the space next to your signature (or in the "Beneficiary tax code" field), enter:

Frequently asked questions
Everything you want to know
Do I need to file a tax return specifically for this?
No. If you are already required to submit the 730 or the Modello Redditi, the 5×1000 is already included. If you are exempt from filing (e.g. you only have employment income with a CU), you can still express your choice on your Certificazione Unica or by submitting a simplified return.
Can I choose both the 8×1000 and the 5×1000?
Yes, they are completely separate allocations. The 8×1000 concerns religious denominations and the State; the 5×1000 concerns non-profit organisations. You can sign both without any interference.
When does the contribution reach the Foundation?
Bureaucratic timelines are long: the contribution relating to returns filed in 2026 will arrive approximately in 2027–2028. The State processes the data and transfers the amounts with a delay of around 18–24 months.
How is the 5×1000 used?
It directly funds the Foundation's programmes: scholarships for students participating in international delegations, mentorship for young people in the local area, and free access to public keynote events for those who would otherwise be unable to attend. Financial statements are publicly available on the website.
Can I change beneficiary every year?
Yes. The choice is annual and non-binding: you can indicate a different beneficiary for each tax year.
What happens if I don't sign any box?
Your 5×1000 share is distributed proportionally among all the beneficiaries that received signatures that year — or, in some cases, retained by the State. Signing costs nothing and makes all the difference.
